About me: As a graduate of Bloomsburg’s ASL/English Interpreting program (B.S., 2016), I completed my summer practicum experience in New Jersey in the educational setting and then continued my internship at Bloomsburg University. Upon completion of practicum, I earned my EIPA (Educational Interpreter Performance Assessment) allowing me work in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. Upon moving back home to New Jersey, I worked as an educational interpreter in the vocational settings as well as a freelance interpreter. I am currently working as a VRS interpreter and community interpreting. Throughout my practicum experience, I had amazing mentors and would not be the interpreter I am today without them. In our field of interpreting, we truly are lifelong learners and l look forward to working with future mentees along the way!
Fun Fact: I started dancing at the age of 3, participated in competitive dancing all over the east coast and danced until my senior year of college. Dance was such a huge part of my life and has molded me into who I am today. I started to learn sign language in 3rd grade and continued throughout elementary and high school. I was supposed to attend Georgian Court University with a scholarship for dance, but decided the day before classes started that I wanted to become an interpreter! Also, I had the opportunity to interpret for two of my favorite bands: For King and Country and Skillet! It was definitely one of the most memorable experiences in my interpreting career.
